Released in August 2013, Google’s Hummingbird Algorithm Update improved Google’s ability to interpret searcher intent by leveraging natural language processing and Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) to go beyond the keywords input. Hummingbird also penalized websites engaged in keyword stuffing and low quality content.
